I would've given this book 4 stars, 5 stars even. But there's something missing, something that I could not put my finger on - something that will make it an excellent read for me.In the beginning of the book, I had hard time reading it. But it gradually got better. I don't exactly like Evie's voice either, but her character is that sort that I'll like STILL I am just not attached to her. In the midst of all the killings and stuff, I feel like if the author is planning to kill off Evie at the end of this book, I couldn't care less. Though I really enjoyed reading the cuteness between Evie and Lend!I'll definitely read the 2nd book, because I'm curious to know more about faeries and why Evie is made. Hopefully the 2nd book will give me some of that.
